I’ve joined an online Biggest Loser competition on Facebook. It started yesterday and will run 12 weeks. I ate plenty of pizza and buttered banana bread yesterday, but I didn’t binge, so that was a big improvement for me.
I’m plugged my food for the day into My Fitness Pal. It told me if I ate like that every day, I’d lose 1/2 a pound in five weeks. Well, that’s something, right?
But, I’m not going to eat like that every day.
And by the way, I do now how to eat healthfully. Overweight people typically know more about nutrition than the average thin person. That’s my theory anyway.
The problem isn’t knowledge. It’s getting past the emotional barriers to put it into practice and stick with it.
The pizza is gone now and the fridge is stocked with fruits and veggies.
I started off the day making…what’s it called? Toad in a hole? Bunny in a basket? The thing where you cut a circle out of a slice of bread and cook an egg in it.
I discovered I don’t really care for it, though. I’m picky about eggs.
Today I will:
- drink lots of water
- take the dog on a walk
- eat an assortment of produce
I’m going to enjoy the day and make choices that let me have another one tomorrow!
